Flow of Tango

Hi folks, how are you doing? For our Jewish friends, did you enjoy Yom Kippur? If you didn’t eat at all for these past two days, please eat a lot!!!! I am not sure if it is only me, but I get hungry so easily these days. I feel like a bear that is about to go into a hibernation. I have to eat!

Anyways, today’s Prince of Tango Club meeting will be covering Angelic TangoMoves. Tango that flows…(photo above)

It doesn’t matter if you are an advanced dancer, or a beginner, you can dance angelic!!! It’s not just about steps, it is more about concept/philosophy/attitude.

Un Tal Gavito!

Un Tal Gavito!

When I started tango, my first teacher was the legend, Carlos Gavito (photo left). He is so elegant and classy. He passed away, unfortunately, but he is still respected in Buenos Aires. That’s why this painting of Gavito is displayed at one of the famous milongas in Buenos Aires called, “Porteno y Bailaryn.”

Today, I will go over what Gavito taught me and will add something more “nuevo tango” feeling attached to it. It will be another angelic tango move! Tango that flows… Hope to see you all.

And our famous tea session will be followed after the meeting and then, we could go to Gustavo’s milonga. He is not there today but the place is amazing.

Oh, by the way, our friend, Mika is having her birthday today!!!! Happy Birthday to Mika! Best wishes to all,

Hi, there, how are you? It’s officially in the fall and getting a little chillier. Wow…soon we will have nice foliage in New York. Oh, we wanna go apple-picking before it is too late. It is the perfect time to do it!!!

Empanadas

Empanadas

Talking about the fall, I am feeling hungry! very hungry! Why? because my stomach is telling me it is finally fall? It is preparing me for my winter hibernation??? like bears???

Anyways, I am missing empanadas (photo left) in Buenos Aires and Cafe Con Leche together with it. Let’s go to an Argentinean restaurant in the city and have dinner together!

By the way, tomorrow’s Prince of Tango Club meeting will be covering lady’s boleos (from the basic to advanced one), turn=change of direction, wich comes with soltadas… It is a very nice flow of movement. It’s ANGELIC. I will call Angelic Tango!!! Like this one I found in Recoleta, Buenos Aires.(photo below)
